Balance, Mind, Body and Soul: New contemporary
meals are presented to make it easy for patrons to meet
the requirements of some of today's hottest "diets"
while the watchful eye of our Registered Dietitian insures
that our students receive adequate nutrition for busy lives.
Classics
brings home these traditional fares-with recipes that speak
to the regional tastes of our customers. Lighter at lunch,
the healthy entrée salads and hand-held "portable"
foods are a hit for students with limited time in between
classes. At dinner, the stick-to-your-ribs, wholesome meals
based on traditional comfort foods, such as beef meatloaf,
baked fish, lasagna, brisket and pork chops, become extra-special
in the hands on on-site chefs.
Vegan and
Vegetarian Choices
Available in Classics, as well as throughout the platform
stations, are a collection of exciting and tasty vegetarian
and vegan entrées and sides. Offerings are flavorful
and filling, including a rotation of soba, ramen and other
noodle favorites.
International:
Perhaps nowhere else does our passion for restaurant-quality
dining sizzle as at our International sauté station.
Aromatic with the smells of fresh garlic, ginger and infused
oils, customers book passage to Mediterranean specialties
today, and those from Thailand tomorrow. It's a continuous
rotation keeps taste buds on their toes and interest and
excitement high.
International
Foods and Culinary Display
The International station features a weekly ethnic theme.
These include such regions as:
- Mexico (think
Adobo Chicken with Cilantro Rice, Tamale Pies with Spanish
Rice and Fajitas your way!)
- Mediterranean
(think Minted Chicken, Lemon and Olive with Lavash, Tapas
Bar with Homemade Flatbreads, Antipasto with Italian Crusty
Rolls!)
- Pan Asian
(think Pad Thai Station with a range of spiced sauces
Lo Mein Noodles with Vegetables and Peanut Sauce Vegetarian
Sauté with Mandarin Orange Italy and Pan Asian!)
- Italian (think
Smoked Chicken Fatfalle w/Sun dried Tomato Sauce, Linguini
w/Broccoli, canellini beans, and shrimp in a white wine
sauce, and Portabella risotto w/fresh basis and garlic!)
Pizza:
There's nothing better than a pizza right out of the oven!
The warm crust, the bubbling cheese and the delicious toppings
tempt and delight! At lunch, a selection of Italian favorites
and open-faced sandwiches take center stage. Strombolis
and calzones emerge piping hot and stuffed with a variety
of delicious fillings. Try one of the stuffed crust specialties,
or for those serious pizza-connoisseurs, the double stuffed
pizza supreme!
Grill:
At The Grille, we believe that we have built a better burger,
and by the way students eat them up, we think they agree.
Three quarter wrapped, the toasted bun doesn't get soggy,
and a compliment of red onion, crisp leaf lettuce and house
dressing are a harmonious blend of tastes. Want it your
way? No problem! After all, when you're cooking to order,
it's easy to serve it dressed or plain. A fixings bar allows
each guest to customize their grill delight to their own
specifications.
In addition,
Texas-style grilled cheese are loaded with golden, gooey
goodness. French fries, shoestring and specialty cuts, are
available with a variety of regional toppings. Specialty
grill items get the same attention to production and assembly
as our burgers. Especially popular at lunchtime, traditional
meets contemporary with a signature collection of daily
grilled specialties like patty melts, BBQ portabello mushroom
sandwiches, balsamic chicken and vegetable wraps.
Sub &
Sandwich: Combining old-fashioned deli style with contemporary
sandwich innovation, our Sub & Sandwich shop is a location
where guests' deli creativity is only limited by their own
imagination. Meats are lean and sliced deli-thin to bring
out the flavor, whether it be roast beef, turkey breast,
Italian salami, ham or another sandwich favorite.
Soup &
Salad: Everyone loves a good bowl of soup, chili or
chowder now and then, either as an accompaniment to a delicious
sandwich or a hearty, belly-warming meal in itself. And
diners soon will see that Soup 'n Salad serves up a selection
as unique as it is delicious.
The salad bowl
becomes a canvas to be filled to the diner's delight from
a colorful palette of crisp greens, fresh-cut vegetables,
seasonal fruits, sliced meats and cheeses, crunchy croutons,
flavor-packed dressings and more. Fresh-made salads are
showcased daily and include local and regional favorites.
A rotation of
whole loaves of warm, fresh breads (including homemade nut
and fruit breads!) are just waiting to be sliced. There
are also rolls, muffins, oven-fresh biscuits, cornbread,
bagels, breakfast pastries, coffee cakes, donuts and more.
An all-day selection of cereals, grains and fruits are offered
to meet students' needs for a lighter meal any time of day.
ON SATURDAYS
AND SUNDAYS..WAKE UP FOR BRUNCH!
At your platform stations, fresh, hot-from-the-pan or right-off-the-grill
specialties are a morning home run! From Pizzar, cheesy
frittatas and breakfast pizzas emerge from the impinger
hot and fresh. Other delights include eggs benedict Florentine,
bacon with egg and cheese biscuit sandwiches, and huevos
rancheros.
For those with
a yearning for "eggs their way," International
has the right fillings to create the basic to the extreme
omelet extraordinaire! At The Grille, fluffy pancakes, golden
French toast and breakfast sandwiches rotate daily. A variety
of meats, potatoes and hot cereals are also worked into
the regular offerings.
Desserts:
The person who said "life is short - eat dessert first,"
must have had our Desserts showcase in mind. Plenty of fresh-baked
cookies, chocolate cake, hot apple crisps, chocolate chip
cheesecake, cream puffs, brownies, fresh whole pies and
more. Remember, stressed turned around is desserts, and
nothing turns a hard day around faster than a treat from
our dessert showcase!
Beverages:
Juices are a must, especially at breakfast, so we offer
plenty to choose from. Chocolate milk (skim this time) has
made a huge comeback, so it's available at all times. Flavored,
gourmet coffees and teas are in demand, so students will
always find those selections as well. And, of course, there
are a wide variety of pure fruit juices, teas and favorite
sodas. |
