Six (6) dining platforms within the all-you-care-to-eat dining hall offer variety and nutritious options including an allergen-free station and fresh smoothies as a dessert alternative. A student favorite hang-out spot, Southside accepts all meal plans, including Independence Dining and Faculty/Staff Byte plans, as well as cash, credit, Freedom and Mason Money. Simple Servings- Allergen- friendly dining- New Improvements Here!

This Spring, Southside will be expanding the variety of offerings for all customers, especially those with food allergies and other dietary intolerances. The Simple Servings program will have its own designated station, located at the current deli station. The new station will include a prepared hot entrée plate with starch and veggies, a soup, and salad special. The station will also house the made-to-order stir fry, which will continue to be available to all students seeking a custom-made healthy hot entrée option.

Adjacent to Simple Servings entrees will be the “My Zone” area, which will cater specifically to customers with gluten intolerance. Gluten free options – including pastries – will be available at My Zone. In order to keep the entire station gluten free, the waffles and toast options will be re-located to the dessert station.

The deli as you know it will move to where the current “stir-fry” area is next to the salad bar and will include pre-made and custom paninis – *new*
